      Hi Jewel,
I would wear the same heels as the other bridesmaids. If you’re already taller than the others you are going to stand out anyway and you might as well look as fabulous as possible. I’m 6’4 as you know so i am way taller than most of my friends and I’ve never felt awkward wearing heels around my friends who are 5 feet tall and they’ve never felt weird about it either. We’re just used to each others heights. I personally would feel weird being part of a bridal party and not wearing the same thing as the others. But you have to wear what you will be the most comfortable and confident in. Hopefully it will be the heels. 🙂

        Hi Tanasha,

        A TRIUMPH IN TALL LAND

Tanasha i threw a bomb in the enemy’s camp because i totally rocked it in my 4 inch heels at the wedding. Remember the wedding i told you about where i was worried about all the bridesmaids being under 5ft?

I just decided that even if all but one bridesmaids were under 5 ft – why must i hold back.

I walked with confidence and got compliments and photos taken by strangers.

When we got in the church i just rocked it. I even danced and just went crazy as part of the procession.

Yea i got stares but funny thing is, after that you just become part of the furniture anyways.

Essentially you end up feeling at home.

My future concerning high heels is so bright it is amazing.

I overcame that fear and realised it was not even real!

        A toast to high heels!

        And thanks for your advice

        Hi Tanasha
When you buy pants patterns do they have talls or do you add length at the bottom of the pants?

        • Tanasha

          Hi Susan,

No they don’t have talls. I just lengthen them at lengthening line on the pattern or just add inches to the bottom. 🙂

    Hello Tanasha,

I love your blog! It’s a very positive inspiration for tall women.

On average I get asked how tall I am at least 3 times a week. Depending on my mood for the day I will normally answer, “on a bad day, I’m 6’2″ (when I wear flats), but on any other day, I am generally anywhere from 6’5″ to 6’7″! I will wear up to a 5” heel! LOL On occasion I will be asked why I where heels when I am already so tall…my reply is generally, “I wear heels for the same reason a shorter woman wear heels…”to look better”!

I have seen several of your pictures and you don’t look 6’4″, but then again, to another tall person, I guess you wouldn’t. LOL Your style is fantastic and I’m glad to know that I am not the only “shoe hoarder” around. I love shoes and handbags! Everytime I see a shoe or handbag that I like, I tell myself that I need another pair of shoes and/or handbag like I need a hole in my head, but all the while, I’m walking to checkout with it.

My daughter is also 6’2″ and also not afraid to step out in a heel! I taught her to be “proud” of the person that she is and if we were meant to be shorter, God would have made us that way.

For my final comment, I will merely say, “you go Girl”, keep up the good work!

P.S…another website for larger size shoes is http://www.6pm.com

      Hello Yvonne,

Awww thank you so very much! I love that you wear heels and I agree that they do make us look better. I think the same thing when I look at my pictures that I don’t look that tall and sometimes I don’t feel that tall until I’m standing next to a short person…lol Again thank you so much for taking the time to write to me. Your words really do mean a lot. I will have to check out 6pm! Thank you!!!

    Hi Tanasha,

I love your style first of all! If its not being too personal what are your measurements. I so struggle with finding clothes especially for work. You seem to be around my size so i’m just perplexed as to why I cant figure it out. thanks!

Hi and thank you! Well I’m 6’4″ tall. I have a 36″ inseam. Currently I weigh about 212 pounds. I wear a size 14. 38DD bra..lol I don’t have my actual waist, hip measurements..lol I carry weight in my mid-section so if I am wearing a body con dress I through on a girdle or shape wear to hold it in..lol Hope that helps. 🙂
